Principal’s Message January 10, 2020

STEM is a time for Anne Fox students to be creative, collaborative,
use their critical thinking skills as well as have some fun too.

Dear Anne Fox Community,

Happy New Year! We hope you had a wonderful winter break. Since we have returned students have been working hard on getting back into the routine of school. As we visited classrooms this week, students were engaged in setting goals for 2020 and jumping right back into learning. Below are a few updates from our school and district.

PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports)
The Cool Tool for the month of December is Commit to Your Goals. This Cool Tool focuses on working toward all our goals at school! We will be working on encouraging everyone to “Stick with it!” and to “Never give up!” even when things get challenging.

The Dentist Is Coming!
Once again we are pleased to have Smile Illinois-Mobile Dentists return to Fox School February 24, 2020.

The Mobile Dentists’ team will set up a mini-dental office in our building and will provide exams, teeth cleaning, fluoride treatment, sealants as indicated.

Mobile Dentists provides grants to families who require full financial assistance and subsidizes fees for those who need financial aid.  No child is ever turned away by Mobile Dentists/Smile Programs because of financial need.

You can learn more about Mobile Dentists/Smile Programs by going to its website:  www.mobiledentists.com.

If interested in this service, please complete the attached application and return to the Health Office by January 31, 2020.

Parents of Kindergarten, 2nd, and 6th grade students: please note that by May 2020 you must show proof that your child has seen the dentist within the past 18 months.  This is a requirement for all children in the State of Illinois. If the Smile Illinois dentist examines your child, you have fulfilled this obligation.
