Principal’s Message October 4, 2019
|Anne Fox Community,
The students had a great time attending our monthly Fox Frenzy where we recognized students of the month and introduced new Cool Tool: Cool To Bee Kind. Students are earning tickets towards our monthly celebration.
Parent Teacher Conferences
We are looking forward to connecting with parents during conferences on Thursday, October 10th and Friday, October 11th. Students are invited to attend so they can share their progress so far, as well as their goals for the school year. Teachers will also be sharing their insights and establishing areas of focus in which we can partner with you.
Please remember that our school day will be adjusted to accommodate these conferences.
· Thursday, October 10th: 11:40am Dismissal
· Friday, October 11th: No School
· Monday, October 14th: No School
3th-6th Grade Parents/Guardians
District 54 has launched a new Social-Emotional Learning Survey this year to provide insight into the social-emotional growth of our students.
We are asking all students in grades 3-6, their parents/guardians and their classroom teachers to respond to the survey to provide their unique perspective. Your insight as a parent/guardian is essential in creating the most well rounded picture of your student’s strengths and opportunities for growth.
You should receive a separate email containing survey access and directions. You can take the survey on your own or at school following your child’s conference next week. Chromebooks will be available for you to use. Our goal is to have 100% of families complete the survey.
The book fair will be open during parent/teacher conferences. The students will also have an opportunity to visit the book fair with their class. Classroom teachers will be sharing this date and time with the students.
Next Friday, October 11th we do not have school, but you may want to consider taking your child to Chuck E Cheese. By doing so you will be supporting the Anne Fox PTA and having fun with your child! See the attachment below for the details.
Halloween is approaching and we wanted to share the school guidelines as you begin to plan out costumes for this special day. Attached is a letter that outlines parade and party details as well as costume expectations. Please read this important information to best support your child.
Bikes can be ridden to school but must be walked upon entering school property. Scooters and skateboards should be left at home.
We would like to extend a BIG THANK YOU for your support with our Wednesday Jet’s Pizza Days! Jet’s Pizza Days help support our school’s PBIS Recognition Programs (Positive Behavior Intervention & Support). The office is also looking for a couple of parent helpers to assist on Jet’s Pizza Wednesdays once or twice a month. If you would like to help out or receive more information, please contact Mrs. Donatelli or Mrs. Galer in the Fox Office 630-736-3500. Thank you.
