Principal’s Message September 6, 2019

Hello Anne Fox Community,

We had a great week at school.  Fall MAP tests are complete and the students are getting comfortable with their routines.  We are ready for our best school year yet!  Please read below for the latest updates.

Parking Lot Reminders

·         The parking lot is closed in the morning from 8:20-8:40 and again in the afternoon from 2:55-3:10

·         Due to the limited number of parking spots for staff we ask that parents refrain from parking in the lot during these times.

·         To ensure our bus riders are safe we ask that there are no moving cars in the parking lot when the lot is closed.

·         Parents picking up their children at dismissal need to utilize the sidewalks.  We cannot have anyone walking through the parking lot.

·         Fox staff will be enforcing these guidelines before and after school.

Be sure to follow our Fox Elementary School Facebook page.  We will be utilizing this page to share insight into our days at school.  We want our Fox Families to know what a wonderful school their child is attending!

PBIS Update

This month students will be working to demonstrate the first Cool Tool of the year: Respect! This Cool Tool encourages students to be respectful of others, their classroom, and their school. We discuss what being respectful looks like during different parts of the day to help us learn.

Erin’s Law

A few years ago, we began implementing a child sexual abuse prevention program in our schools as the result of the passage of Public Act 097-1147, also known as Erin’s Law.  This law expanded upon previous legislation and required child sexual abuse prevention education for child beginning in pre-kindergarten and continuing through all grade levels.  Our students will be participating in lessons in their classrooms in October.  Please contact us at 630-736-3500 with any specific questions.
