Field Day Pizza Lunch

Friday, May 18th is Field Day. Morning activities will begin at 9:10-12:00 with Fox Families. Classroom games will be in the afternoon from 1:00-2:40.

Our PTA will be providing pizza for lunch. Please bring a drink for your child if they do not receive milk. PTA will also be providing water bottles and a snack for the morning.

Make sure your child is properly prepared for the day. Gym shoes are a must – no flip flops. Also, sunscreen is advisable as well as hats and sunglasses. Good luck to all!

Ice Cream Social and BINGO Night

Tuesday, May 8th from 5:30-7:30 pm Anne Fox PTA will host this family night as a thank you to all the families who help out in so many ways to make our PTA and school successful.

There is no cost for this evening. The BOGO Book Fair will also be open duing this time.

All children must be chaperoned by an adult. See you then!

“Take Your Parent to School” Night

On Thursday April 26th from 5:30-6:30, students will have an opportunity to take their parents to gym.  There will be activities for both the parent and child to participate.  The parents get a chance to see some of the games their children do throughout the year.  Please come and join in the fun!

Celebrate Reading and Writing Night will also be on April 26th from 6:00-7:00 .  Tables will be set up displaying student work as we have done in the past. 

Spring Break

Spring break will begin Monday, March 26th with school resuming on Monday, April 2nd.  Enjoy this well deserved break! 

Spaghetti Dinner and Art Fair

Please join us for a spaghetti dinner and art fair on Friday, January 27, from 5:30-7:30 pm in the gym.  Dinner includes spaghetti and meatballs (and meatless sauce), salad, bread, drink and a dessert for $4 per adult and $2 per child.  

What better way to spend a friday night, with all this great food, time with family & friends and art work created by your kids!  Hope to see you all there.

The Dentist is Coming!

Once again we are pleased to have Smile Illinois-Mobile Dentists return to Anne Fox School on February 9, 2012.

The Mobile Dentists’ team will set up a mini-dental office in our building and will provide exams, teeth cleaning, fluoride treatment and sealants as indicated for all children who return completed forms.

Mobile Dentists provides grants to families who who require full financial assistance and subsidizes fees for those who need financial aid.  No child is ever turned away by Mobile Dentists/Smile Programs because of financial need.

Parents of Kindergarten, 2nd and 6th grade students:  please note that by May 2012 you must show proof that your child has seen the dentist within the past 18 months.  This is a requirement for all children in the State of Illinois.  If the Smile Illinois dentist examines your child, you have fulfilled this obligation. 

Please call Michele Traina, Fox School Nurse at 630-736-3551 if you have any questions.  Remember to complete all sections and sign the dental form before sending it back to the nurse.

Winter Wonderland Friday, December 2

Friday, December 2nd the PTA is sponsoring “Winter Wonderland” from 5:30-8:00 pm.  Start the evening off enjoying the music of our Winter Wonderland Ensemble, then throw some snowballs in the gym.  Tickets will be sold to purchase snacks and make holiday crafts.  The Holiday Workshop will be open throughout the evening.  If you are purchasing gift cards, orders are due Monday, December 5th.

HOMECOMING SPIRIT WEEK October 11-14

Show your school spirit this week by wearing the following:

October 11 -  Hat Day 
October 12 –  Cartoon Character Shirt Day
October 13 -  Sports Day
October 14 -  University Color Day – Homecoming

Our homecoming activities will begin on Friday, October 14th with a pep rally on the field at 1:00 followed by a  football game with 6th grade vs staff.  The festivities will conclude with a homecoming dance in the gym from 6:00-8:00 p.m.  GO TEAM!!
